YORK St John College will open its doors for the second time this year to would-be entrepreneurs and business starters to offer them guidance.
The successful Acorns programme, which begins again next month, has already provided essential practical advice to the 12 recruits who joined the programme earlier this year, made up of sole traders and self-employed participants who meet once a fortnight at the college.
The team has received valuable information on subjects including work-life balance, market research, accounts management, how to write a business plan and the legal aspects of start-up.
Applications for places on the September 2005 Acorns programme should phone Jill Graham at York St John College at 01904 716679, or email: reo@yorksj.ac.uk for further information.
