STAMFORD Bridge and Whitkirk will contest the final of the York and District Senior Cricket League Edward Readman KO Trophy at Londesbrough Park on Sunday, August 14.
The first division sides overcame the handicapper to beat off the challenge of lower division sides in their semi-finals.
Clubs receive 15 runs for each division and Bridge saw off fourth division outfit Thorp Arch & Boston Spa, while Whitkirk defeated league newcomers Folkton & Flixton from the third division.
Bridge's free-scoring West Indian Lorenzo Ingram made his second century of the competition as he rattled up 128. Matt Beckett chipped in with 25 to take Stamford to a total of 216-7.
Flixton got off to a sprint start as Damien Gormley and Neil Elvidge converted the 30-run handicap start into 80 off the first six overs. The game then took a dramatic change once the pair were dismissed, Gormley falling for 60 and Elvidge for 36.
Ingram then wrote himself into the record books when he took 5-16 runs to become the first player in the history of the competition to score a century and take five wickets in the same game. With Ollie Pimlott claiming 3-47 the Filey Road side collapsed to 186-9 to lose by 30 runs.
After being beaten finalists to York II and Duncombe Park in the previous two seasons, Whitkirk qualified for their third successive final when they beat Thorp Arch & Boston Spa by 44 runs.
Early runs for Whitkirk came from Craig Shipton with 52 and Phil Scouller 33. Mike Cole made serious inroads with 5-44 but Harlon Haye put the Leeds side in control with 76 which lifted his side to 231-9.
With the benefit of a 45-run handicap start, Thorp Arch were in with a chance of creating an upset and their cause was aided by Mike Cole who made 43. However, John Colley took 3-42 and Haye captured 2-15 to dismiss TABS for 187.
