THE ever-popular York City Knights Summer Roadshows begin on Wednesday at New Earswick Sports and Social Club.
The sessions, for eight to 13-year-olds, led by Knights development coaches, comprise fun games to promote rugby league skills and work towards playing some tag rugby games.
Further sessions will follow on consecutive Wednesdays at York Acorn ARLC (on August 17), Brayton Community Centre, near Selby (on 24) and Heworth ARLC (on 31), and at Pindar School, Scarborough, on Friday, September 2. Each session is from 10am to 1pm.
Each one costs £5 per head, with each child receiving a free baseball cap and a free ticket to a Knights game.
Youngsters are advised to reserve a place by calling the Knights on 01904 758234. They can turn up on the day only if there are spaces available.
All youngsters must have a consent form or have a parent with them on the day to fill one in.
