YORKSHIRE bowled out Bangladesh 'A' for 325 to pick up a slender lead of 32 at Headingley on Thursday.

But they then suffered a couple of shocks as both Chris Taylor and Richard Pyrah were dismissed for ducks.

Michael Lumb and Simon Guy had to work hard to prevent any further setbacks and Yorkshire closed on 48-2 to put them 80 in front.

Yorkshire shuffled their batting order in the second innings and openers Lumb and Taylor both needed good scores to improve their chances of getting picked for the Championship match against Somerset at Taunton next week.

But Taylor, a prolific scorer for the second team this season, was once again out of luck at senior level because he was on the receiving end of an unplayable shooter from Shahadat Hossain which knocked back his off-stump.

Richard Pyrah then shouldered arms at Syed Rasel only to have his middle stump hit but Lumb batted fluently to rally the innings with Guy. Each batsman hit three fours, Lumb ending unbeaten on 25 and Guy 20.

After Yorkshire had piled up 357-2 declared on the first day, it was Bangladesh's turn to score freely and their assault was led by Tushar Imran who hit 116 off 164 balls with 18 fours to record his second century of the tour.

There was an even more aggressive knock from Nazim Uddin who smacked 60 from 99 deliveries before being caught on the mid-wicket boundary off left-arm paceman David Lucas. He claimed career-best first class figures of 5-49, overtaking the 5-104 he registered for Nottinghamshire against Essex at Trent Bridge six years' ago.
