YORK has got used to beauty pageants all over again, thanks to the success of the MS York contest.
Now the city has another line-up of beauty queens to consider. The latest contestants may not be in the first, or even second, flush of youth but they certainly put on a good show. And if Mary Addington stayed sitting while she accepted her crown as Miss Willow House 2005, well she is 85.
This contest reminds us that getting on in years doesn't have to see an end to the fun - or to making yourself look good.
