York City are calling on people to help save the football club money by becoming a match-day steward.
The Minstermen currently contract stewards from Showsec, as well as appointing their own officials, but safety officer Eric Hope is hoping that at some stage in the future the duties will be performed completely in-house.
Hope said: "I would love York City games to be run completely by York City stewards and that would also save the club money in terms of recruiting from Showsec."
Anybody interested in becoming a City steward will be put through a two-day training course and should call the club on 0870 7771922.
