IT WILL be a case of "Jocks Away" when York City kick off their Conference campaign at home to Crawley Town tomorrow.
Scottish summer signing Emmanuel Panther hopes to be a "big game player" for the Minstermen next season and, with manager Billy McEwan, of course, hailing from north of the border, Celtic influences will be strong at KitKat Crescent this season.
As a result, City have stocked up the club shop with tam o'shanters and Billy Mac's Barmy Army T-shirts, as modelled by former St Johnstone, Partick Thistle and Brechin City midfielder Panther.
The tam o'shanters will cost £4.50 and the T-shirts, supplied by MPH Enterprises, are on sale for £7.50 although fans buying both items will only need to pay £10.
City boss McEwan said: "Football is a serious business but the hats and t-shirts really made me laugh. Next thing we know, there'll be bagpipes in the Longhurst!"
