LAST week my bird bath, which I have had for more than 40 years, went missing from my garden.
It had stood in my present garden for 28 years and before, in Fulford, for 17 years - it was like losing an old friend.
Not only that but it was the last present from my late husband Harry who was told he had only a short time to live so, before he went into hospital, he bought the bird bath.
He died soon after and never got to enjoy his garden.
The birds have gone to find a bath and, as I look at the empty space, I realise you can't steal memories.
