YORK City will be hoping to exploit set-play weaknesses at Southport tonight.
Corners proved the Conference North champions' undoing during a 3-1 opening day defeat at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday and City boss Billy McEwan called for an improvement on dead-ball deliveries after the 0-0 draw with Crawley.
The Sandgrounders conceded two goals from flag-kicks and Dagenham also hit the crossbar following another corner although reports from the match suggested that Southport's general play deserved a better reward.
Former Harrogate Town midfielder Dominic Krief is expected to make his full home debut for Southport after making Saturday's starting line-up at Victoria Road.
Krief arrived at Haig Avenue in the summer after being named man of the match in each of Southport's matches against Harrogate last season.
Striker Steve Daly, who grabbed a hat-trick to clinch the Conference North title at Harrogate's Wetherby Road ground on the last day of the 2004-05 season, got the new campaign off to a flier with Southport's strike against Dagenham.
Now he will be hoping to extend that run at the expense of Billy McEwan's Minster mites.
