FOOD producers from Yorkshire will give London's culinary experts something to chew over next month
The county's finest delicacies, such as speciality pies and chutneys as well as new offerings such as Yorkshire biltong, will be on show to trade buyers at the Speciality And Fine Food Fair at London's three-day Olympia Exhibition, starting on Sunday, September 4.
The food producers will gather there under the Deliciouslyorkshire banner--the brand for food and drink from the region.
The Regional Food Group for Yorkshire & Humber (RFGYH), supported by Yorkshire Forward, is the brand custodian and has organised the stand to showcase the very best the region has to offer.
Karen Carlyle, RFGYH executive director, said: "This is a very important regional trade show, giving producers and suppliers of speciality foods the chance to meet buyers, retailers, distributors, restaurateurs and caterers.
"Yorkshire has a wealth of wonderful food producers and it makes sense for us to team up and make a real impact on those all-important buyers."
Among the first-time exhibitors in London will be Holme Farmed Venison, offering the finest quality venison, using a wide range of cuts, from steaks to joints and sausages, for the retail and catering trade.
Underscoring its Yorkshire roots the firm has even produced a "just cook" venison meal made with locally grown rhubarb.
Other exhibitors include the Yorkshire Soup Company, Carricks Fish, Pane Italia, The Topping Pie Company, Pipers Crisps, and Bare Earth Biltong.
