I HAVE just finished reading a further report about the children who have been removed from their home because their parents are deemed to be "not intelligent enough" to raise them.
This has to be wrong.
Every article I have read about these people says the same thing; that the children are clean, well fed and, most importantly, they are loved by their parents.
Is it not a huge problem in today's society that there are too many children who are unloved and neglected?
In the place where I work there are many parents who come in and are bad tempered towards their children, to say the least.
They are often young mothers with small children, mothers who have no patience and who are quick with their hands.
One couple in particular have a small baby, and they are of low intelligence and obviously have no idea how to keep themselves, or the child clean.
This is the third child for this father, and presumably not the last, although he is obviously unsuitable to be a parent, as anyone can tell. However, Social Services do nothing.
I sincerely hope someone sees sense regarding these two children who have been removed from their family and tries to put this right, although I fear that the damage will already have been done.
