SOME of the biggest names in world cricket will be in action at Scarborough on Sunday.
West Indian stars like Richie Richardson, Alvin Kallicharran Jimmy Adams, South African strokemaker Herschelle Gibbs, Kiwi all-rounder Chris Harris and Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mustaq are included in a Lashings World XI to face Old England.
The charity match will also see the return of umpiring legend Dickie Bird. He is coming out of retirement for the first and last time to raise money for the Dickie Bird Foundation. It was set up last year to offer grants to help disadvantaged young people pay for sports equipment, coaching and travel.
Bird will be umpiring the first innings at the game at North marine Road.
The Old England XI will be led by John Lever and includes Nottinghamshire ace Derek Randall and hard-hitting Worcestershire batsman Geoff Humpage.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, with free admission for children under 12. Tickets are available on the day.
Wickets are pitched at 2pm, with the gates opening at 11am. There is also the chance to win a Toyota Yaris in a prize draw, sponsored by Toyota West Riding. For tickets call 01723 365625.
