SO Martin Hathaway doesn't like what the council is doing to his beloved geese's eggs (August 19). Oh dear, how sad.
Perhaps, if he lived in York and did not simply visit he would have a different view of the problem.
Mind you only 200 eggs culled would not get the council an A level pass in egg destruction (or maybe it would with this Government).
Instead of painting them with paraffin why don't they just stamp on them? It would be quicker, cheaper and provide a source of food for other wildlife.
They could of course, choose a more direct method. If they do, my 12-bore is under-used and I am available. I await their call.
Until then they should keep up the good work.
