IT is commendable that York City wishes to play more of a role in the community.
But the club may have scored an own goal by its well-meaning association with the Arc Light Centre.
KitKat Crescent's existing neighbours, Clifton residents, are cross that City knew about the proposed relocation long before they did.
Once again, they have been kept in the dark.
And they have a right to question City's commitment to a Shipton Street homeless hostel when the club plans to move out of the neighbourhood as soon as financially feasible.
