STAFF at Pocklington-based property investment firm, The Helmsley Group, put their best feet forward for charity as part of the company's 25th anniversary celebrations.
The 13-strong team walked the 25-miles from Middlesbrough to Helmsley and raised nearly £3,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Macmillan Cancer Relief. The sum was matched by the company, bringing the total to £6,000.
Chairman John Reeves said: "This was a real team effort, with everyone doing their bit for charity. It was a very long day, but we passed through some of the country's most beautiful scenery and landscapes.
"My thanks to all the team, both the walkers and support group and especially those who sponsored us."
The day started at Roseberry Topping overlooking Helmsley's latest investment, Manhattan Gate at Middlehaven, Middlesbrough. The 200-acre site will be the basis for a £500 million scheme led by Tees Valley Regeneration and will comprise residential, commercial and leisure developments generating up to 2,000 jobs.
