HOW wholeheartedly I concur with those who think we should be rid of the scourge of the Canada Geese. Every time I cycle or walk along the river into town, and every time I used to take my young children to Rowntrees Park, years ago, I am and was appalled by the noise and mess, and often aggressive behaviour.
Even more appalled am I by the individuals who are feeding these dirt-machines to produce even more faeces and encourage further colonisation.
The birds are vermin just like pigeons are, in the same sense that weeds are weeds if they are growing in an undesirable, inappropriate place.
Canada is vast enough to not have to tread round these "critures", and is welcome to them all. I too would be willing to put my hand where my mouth is.
