I DON'T always agree with the sentiments expressed by PR Willey of Burnholme Drive, York, but on this occasion he could have written on my behalf ('We are too soft on youth crime', August 30).
Sadly, however, there is no chance that the do-gooders will back off and that judges will impose proper punishments on the youngsters who are blighting our country.
It's too late PR, far too late. What we see now is what we get.
Learn to put up with it or emigrate to somewhere less pathetically soft.
