A HOLSTEIN Friesian cow was guest of honour at the opening of the new Weetons Food Hall farm shop in Harrogate.
Kay turned up for the ribbon snipping at the spacious 3,000 sq ft shop in West Park, just off The Stray, where more than 40 farmer suppliers also turned up.
Managing director, 27-year-old Andrew Loftus, said: 'Weeton's was born out of my ambition to reconnect our customers with local food producers and farmers and to restore integrity to our food chain.
"We have brought together the very best of Yorkshire farm produce under one roof, having searched every field and farmyard in the county, with a passion for local food.
"Yorkshire has wonderfully varied farms and food producers. Dealing with our suppliers has been incredibly rewarding and reassures me that there can still be a bright future for farming in Britain.
"There is real integrity in the food produced."
