FORMER England amateur international Jonathan Plaxton will make a welcome return to the York Union of Golf Clubs' team for Sunday's duel against their Harrogate counterparts.
Fulford GC's Plaxton is in line for his 102nd Union appearance for the improving York ranks in the Yorkshire Inter-Union District fixture at Pannal GC and he rejoins the team after their fine performance in beating East Riding 21-15 in their last outing.
The full York team is: Jim Batt (Heworth), Martin Brown (Pike Hills), Philip Dobson (The Oaks), James Duckett (Fulford), Jonathan Plaxton (Fulford), Adam Newton (Pike Hills), Matthew Lord (Fulford), Adrian Lount (Pike Hills), Nick Marchant (Forest of Galtres), Stuart Parkin (Malton and Norton), Alistair Smith (Heworth), Jamie Smith (Fulford). Reserves are: Kevin Parker (Scarthingwell), Mark Christie (Easingwold).
