BRIAN Leckenby's fine century could not prevent Duncombe Park from plunging to a five-wicket defeat at the hands of Pocklington.
Leckenby made 102 and Mark Wilkie 36 in Park's total of 194.
But Leckenby's innings was overshadowed by a brilliant bowling performance by Mike Newhouse. He took 8-82 and went on to complete a fine day with an undefeated 35 as Pock cruised home by five wickets, skipper Neil Jackson top-scoring with 45.
