WANT to win the Lotto? Then your luck could change by moving house to a quiet rural village near Selby.
Residents in Cawood believe it's a lucky place to live after the village's third National Lottery win in 12 months.
A six-strong syndicate was today celebrating hitting the latest jackpot, scooping £320,000 after matching five numbers plus the bonus ball.
The syndicate includes Steve Cliffe, landlord of the Jolly Sailor at Cawood, lorry driver John Pointing and Philip Goodrick, who also live in the village, and Glyn Ineson, Cedric Meadows and Terry Richardson, all from nearby Wistow.
In January this year, the Cawood family of Pat and Graham Ripley, Tracey and Russ Coles, and Rose Hall, picked up a Lotto cheque for £111,000.
Last summer, seamstress Eileen Southern, of Cawood, and her two colleagues scooped £72,000.
Each member of the syndicate, which was formed four years ago, pays £5 a week for 28 lines.
Mr Pointing's wife, Dorothy, 47, said: "We're still in shock. You get excited when you win £10 but this is something else. Cawood seems to be a lucky place."
