THERE are plans to build a new sea defence wall along the central shore line at Scarborough from the harbour area to the roundabout beneath the arches.
If the current filthy state of the town in that area regarding litter and tatty dilapidated buildings remains the same, it would be better if the sea were allowed to sweep away all the rubbish and the neglected buildings and, preferably, the British people who have created and left all that mess over such a large area of sand, shops, pathways, parks, roads and toilets.
The whole area is a disgrace. In the winter months Scarborough is a nice town to visit - but that is not the case right now.
