TO my dismay I have noticed the city council has decided to widen the footpath at the top of the road connecting Front Street with Green Lane in Acomb.
There are a huge number of articulated delivery vehicles using Green Lane to deliver to Morrison's. Buses also use this route: every one of them has difficulty negotiating this corner.
Now it seems some will cross the road into the path of oncoming traffic in an effort to get round.
I hope this is going to be monitored.
If you are in a vehicle turning into Green Lane you are at risk of coming to grief because these vehicles, and buses too, struggle to get out.
It seems the council is full of people who live in a fantasy world rather than the real one, arrogant people who think no consultation on any procedures they like to implement is necessary. Ah well there is always another election, praise be.
