A new North Yorkshire transportation, storage and fulfillment company has won a £30,000 contract.
Greenline Logistic Solutions, which launched in June, will be setting up a northern showroom for London-based Gel Fireplaces at its offices in Harlow Carr, Harrogate.
Under the contract, Greenline Logistic Solutions will also store stocks of a range of "real flame" domestic and office fireplaces, which burn a clear, alcohol-based fuel, and deliver them throughout the country.
The Harrogate firm will also provide exhibition support for Gel Fireplaces at the Ideal Home Exhibitions in London and Belfast, and at the Concept For Living Exhibition in Manchester.
Greenline Logistic Solutions is among the first UK enterprises whose transport fleet is fitted with a "clean" fuel system, which combines a readily-available petroleum by-product with conventional diesel and is said to cut costs by more than 20 per cent.
Gel Fireplaces managing director, Michael Plant, said: "Our product has to be seen to be appreciated and opening a northern showroom through Greenline will support our access to the northern market."
