BACKING from residents continues to pour in for the Evening Press Bin It! campaign.
More than 4,500 people have joined now our protest, which calls on city council bosses to keep weekly household rubbish collections.
Our campaign is opposed to City of York Council plans to scrap the weekly refuse collection for 60,000 households, while at the same time supporting efforts to boost recycling.
From next month, the authority intends to collect ordinary household rubbish every fortnight, with collections of green garden waste every other week.
