I TOTALLY agree with Peter Briggs (Letters, September 19) about the present debate about waste collection arrangements.
While I realise that a local paper must, to a sensible degree, echo concerns of the York citizenry, a little more thought may well prevent your paper from becoming known as the Evening Bandwagon with its often ill-conceived support for every issue coming to the fore.
I know campaigning may seem very public spirited and worthy but, as with the present one, a more balanced approach with the editorial brain fully engaged will prove more beneficial in the long run.
