THE reason the woman is having trouble with her house in Fourth Avenue, York ('Our house is falling apart', September 16), is because of the nearby trees.
I have had talks with the city council about the trees for years.
A few years ago the council put in some new paths under our front windows, and a new passageway for me and my friend.
Our houses are still damp and they will always be damp as long as the roots of the trees are growing under our homes.
