IT was sad to read that so many university students suffer depression these days (October 6). I can't see things improving when they read of all the restrictions on their partying from their village neighbours (October 8).
I have lived round the back of a pub since 1967, well, probably in it for half of that time, and it never occurred to me to complain about the people leaving at closing time: It's what you call community.
Sadly, this has been replaced by an "I'm all right Jack" attitude: "I've got a big house so we can't have any noise in this area."
Even Della Cannings is at it. The North Yorkshire Chief Constable claims she might lose sleep if she hears people singing at 2am (October 10). Best if we all get depression and keep taking the tablets!
