York RI 'B' proved too strong for Groves WMC 'B' winning 10-0 in their NEDL York and District Table Tennis League division one match.
Holgate WMC 'A' also prevailed by 8-2 over Groves WMC 'A'. John Farmery won all three for Holgate and Alfie Potter two for Groves. Three wins for Martin Lowe could not stop Coneysthorpe 'A' losing 6-4 to York RI 'A'.
York RI 'D' have made a good start to the season in division two, where they beat their 'C' team 6-4 with three wins for Trevor Wright. They then ousted University 7-3, Simon Jackson winning all three for the University.
Bootham Conservative Club 'C' continue to prosper in division three with Ray Mitchell and Gareth Bryning each winning three in an 8-2 win over Poppleton 'B'. Daniel Foxton won all three for Coneysthorpe 'C' in a 5-5 draw with BT 'A'.
In division four, three wins from Mike Surtees helped Shepherds 'A' share the points in a 5-5 draw with Holgate WMC 'C'. Richard Collier remains unbeaten for Poppleton 'D' after they overcame Shepherds 'B' 7-3.
Luke Blackburn won all three as York RI 'H' shared a 5-5 division five draw with Groves WMC 'D'.
Mick Shepherdson and Andy Grayson each won three in York RI's 8-2 division six win over Norwich Union 'B'.
