Stuart Dickinson had a stormer for Knavesmire after firing them into the second round of the York Sunday Afternoon League Cup.
He scored four of their five against Cross Keys, with Brendon Harte getting the other in the 5-2 win.
St John's College hot-shot Ryan Davies scored his second hat-trick in as many weeks as his side turned on the goals in the second half to beat Dunnington 7-2 in the second round.
The scores were level 2-2 at half time but Michael Firek, Matthew Craig, Owen Jones and Christopher Esberger combined with Davies for the win.
AFC Huntington went second in division one after beating Melbourne 4-1.
Melbourne's Dave O'Connor kept them in it at half time with the score at 1-1, but goals from Paul Branscombe, Lewis Musgrave and a Lee McQuade double wiped it out.
