Division four side Enterprise caused the biggest upset of York John Smith's Bitter Cup seconds round when they beat top-flight hosts Wigginton Grasshoppers.
Enterprise opened the scoring with an astute lob by Phil Hartley midway through the first half.
Grasshoppers countered only to twice strike the woodwork. Then, Enterprise upped the pace in the second half and that man Hartley scored twice more for a hat-trick that kept the tie out of Wigginton's reach.
First division Nestl Volunteers were held in check at 2-2 by fourth division visitors Albion Vaults, but the hosts tuned on the power after the break for a 5-2 win.
Bond (2), Jackson, Wain and Pearson were on tgarget, Dave Reesbeck and Lee Ward getting Albion's replies.
It was full speed ahead for F1 Racing in their 10-2 demolition of Triangle Club.
After a fairly even first half, F1 slipped into high gear led by four goals from Mike Taylor. Other marksmen were Adrian Jordan (2), Dave Wright (2), Tom White and Neil Yeowart. Triangle's consolatory strikes were shared by John Redhead and Martin Peacock.
Darren Brandon hammered five goals and Gary Newton four, supplemented by a Matt Hartas effort, for Wanderers in their 10-3 rout of Selby Olympia Reserves, whose John Richards (2) and George Wojcik replied.
Division One Marcia racked up an 8-0 win at fourth division Thomas's Hotel.
Tony Wetherell was the prinicpal danger with a hat-trick plus goals too from Andy Green, ex-York City winger Kieran Darlow, Mark Cole and Scott Clapham.
A serious injury marred the game between Beeswing and Severus SC. With the score at 8-0 to Severus after 75 minutes, the injury to Beeswing's Rob Scarisbrick brought the game to a premature end. Both sides and the referee agreed the score will stand.
Division four outfit Carlton Tavern shared a 2-2 first half with first division Acomb WMC, but the latter got going after the interval to win 7-3.
Acomb's hitmen were Danny Gray (3), Neil Ducey (2), and Paul Barker and John McGarry. Plucky Carlton's replies came from Simon Connell, Steve Illing and Ian Wrigglesworth.
