RECENTLY I enjoyed a wonderful night out with two friends at the Pocklington Arts centre watching the Dickens classic Great Expectations performed by the NTC touring theatre company.
The production was truly excellent. The acting was of the highest standard and in our after show discussion the three of us could not identify one actor/actress as a weakness.
In fact the whole experience was fantastic. The venue which I had visited twice previously for a young children's show (Humpty Dumpty) and a John Godber play (April In Paris) is welcoming and friendly. It was so nice to enjoy drinks during the interval without having to queue and for very reasonable prices.
So congratulations to Pocklington Arts Centre for bringing this excellent production to our area and thank you to the NTC touring theatre company for a memorable evening.
