THE leashold of Lawries Eats And Treats sandwich shop and caf in Bridge Street, York, which had been owned and operated for nine years by Scottish couple David and Caroline Lawries, has been sold to Angela Burns, another Scot, for an undisclosed sum through business agents Christie & Co.
Angela, from Lochgilphead, in Argyll, who owned a restaurant in Scotland, decided to move to York to be closer to family.
