Selby Town took a valuable Northern Counties East League premier division point from a 1-1 draw at Sheffield to go seventh.
The Robins took the lead two minutes into the second half when substitute Jason Harris lashed the ball into the roof of the net from 15 yards.
The home side then got on top and equalised through Rob Ward after 73 minutes. Dominic Graham and Tom Matthews both went close to snatching a Selby winner but the scores stayed level.
Tadcaster Albion shook a monkey off their backs with a 2-1 away win at bogey side Yorkshire Amateur.
Steve Ward opened the scoring in the second half after mopping up a save from his own header. Youngster Rob Youghill was then tripped and Mark Brady converted the penalty.
Amateur pulled a late one back but Tadcaster won all three points - rising to third in the NCEL division one.
Pickering Town stretched their legs to fourth in the premier division after stroking four past Hallam in a 4-1 home win.
Harrogate Railway, however, slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Shirebrook Town after a 65th minute Shaun Roberts goal.
In-form Ben Eastwood gave Goole the half-time lead in the day's only UniBond League division one match - but hosts Bridlington struck three times in the second 45 to steal the points.
