I READ with interest the letter from Mr Paul Hepworth (October 10).
He advises cyclists that if there is a car in the green box at a junction they should move out in front of the box to a position forward of traffic lights and then he advocates that they hold up the traffic by going slowly when the lights change.
Both of these actions are dangerous and, I believe, against the law. Mr Hepworth will just have to learn to tolerate the motorist who makes a mistake like pedestrians have to tolerate cyclists on the pavements.
The way forward in the cyclist versus motorist match is for all road users to consider each other's requirements rather than continually snipe at each other like children whenever some little thing is not as it should be. Mr Hepworth, two wrongs never make a right.
