Tadcaster's unbeaten run in the Yorkshire Hockey Women's division was ended by a 3-2 defeat at La Metros 2nds.
Tadcaster started poorly and the Metros took advantage with two early goals. Half-way through the first half Tadcaster lost their lone striker with a hand injury.
In the second half, Tadcaster's change of formation transformed the game as they regained the majority of possession.
Pressure paid off as Susie Aston converted a well-worked short corner and Sarah Pedder levelled with a well-placed penalty flick.
However, the Metros managed to steal all three points when they converted a short corner minutes from the end.
