Yorkshire County Cricket Club have agreed new contracts or contract extensions to tie their top performers to the club up to and in some cases beyond the 2007 domestic season.
Bowling trio Deon Kruis, Tim Bresnan and Richard Dawson, plus wicket-keeper Simon Guy and promising opening batsman Joe Sayers are among nine players who have been handed new or improved deals.
Director of cricket David Byas said: "We are delighted to have secured the contracts on a number of our key players.
"With promotion to the first division in the County Championship, it's vital that we have a sound platform to push forward and challenge for the title."
