TV LICENSING would like to remind university students that if they buy their TV licence before the end of October, they may be able to qualify for a refund of more than £30 at the end of the academic year.
All students who use or install television equipment, such as PCs with broadcast cards, set-top boxes, DVD or video-recorders, to receive or record television programme services, are legally required to have a TV licence.
However, as long as they purchase their TV licence in October, and don't need it for July, August and September 2006, they could be eligible for a refund of £31.62.
Students can purchase their licence online at www.tvlicensing.co.uk/students. Information is also available by phone on 0870 242 1417.
