LEEMAN's Toni Smallwood was queen of the board at York John Smith's Ladies Darts League semi-finals night with some superb scoring.
Smallwood progressed to tonight's ladies individual final with a 2-0 win against Wenlock's Dawn Exton closing the first leg 121, 140 and 67 check.
Cueball's Tracey Farmeary is Smallwood's opponent in the final having beaten Clifton's Linda Embleton 2-0 with a 71 check for 21.
In the pairs, Smallwood was joined by Becky Laverack while Farmeary was partnered by Angie Hields. Smallwood's luck was in as the Cueball pairing's finishing let them down. After some excellent scoring by Hields (2 x 140, 2 x 100), Smallwood slotted in the doubles for another 2-0 victory.
Their opponents in the final will be Wenlock Arms duo Exton and Michelle Britton, who were taken to a third leg by Slip's Claire Robinson and Beryl Thornham. The Wenlock pairing turned up the heat in the deciding leg with Britton hitting three consecutive tons, while Exton slotted one in for good measure before seeing her partner close on 36 for a 27-dart 701.
Smallwood-Laverack were joined by Smallwood's mother, Jean, in the triples which saw them inflict another defeat upon Farmeary, who was joined by Tina Platt and Lindsey Sawyers.
The Leeman threesome will meet Cygnet's Roz Kerr (4 x 100), Lynda Kennelly and Julie Ashton, who closed their deciding leg against Exton-Britton (140, 121, 100) and Britton's mother Muriel.
Smallwood-Laverack were also involved in the captain/vice-captains' competition but came unstuck as the Farmeary-Hields pairing came out on top, Farmeary closing on 72 to progress to the final, where they will meat Jo Hodges-Karen Hodgson who beat Exton-Britton 2-0.
Tonight's finals at Clarence WMC start at 8pm.
