YORK City Knights will tackle three Super League clubs in their build-up to the new campaign, it has been confirmed.
As revealed by the Evening Press in September, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were lined up as friendly opponents as part of the deal that took Austin Buchanan to Belle Vue, and they have now officially been added to the pre-season list at Huntington Stadium, joining fellow Super League clubs Leeds Rhinos and Hull.
The Knights will take on Trinity on Friday, January 20 (7.30pm), which will see new York signing Rob Spicer take on his old team and a return in Wakefield colours for free-scoring winger Buchanan.
York will entertain world club champions Leeds on Sunday, January 15 (3pm). The closing date for 2006 season ticket holders to reserve their seats and get discounted tickets for the Leeds friendly is tomorrow. After tomorrow, seats will go on general sale and normal match-day admission prices will come into effect.
Hull are due at Huntington Stadium on Sunday, February 5 (3pm).
