THIS may be my final letter to the Evening Press, as my wife and I are moving to Ripon at the end of the month.
One final thing though, if City of York Council is thinking of putting on another firework spectacular, may I suggest a multi-venue display all controlled by computer, with positions such as Clifford's Tower, St Peter's School, Batchelor Hill, and maybe Hull Road Park & Ride. That should cover the city.
Am I sad to be leaving, you might ask? Yes, as I was born and brought up in this city, but no, as I have seen the mess that this city has turned into under successive councils, Labour and Lib Dem, who have not really got a clue about how to run a historic city properly.
Ask the people we all say, but remember to listen when the people say something, not do your own thing anyway.
Jeremy M Banyard,
Bramham Grove,
York.
