I WATCHED the new Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette movie In Her Shoes at the York Odeon.
The movie was fantastic, and made even better because I watched it in my favourite screen in York - the Odeon's Screen One.
On my way out, it occurred to me that the bosses of this lovely old building have been very quiet lately about its future.
Can we maybe look forward to a tasteful refit of this picture house in 2006, or will it continue to be perhaps the most neglected outlet in Odeon's portfolio?
It wouldn't take much to jazz up the building a bit, and perhaps encourage more people to return. One example is the part of the building that used to be the shop, which could be better utilised.
Plus, I'm afraid to say, the toilets still resemble something from a horror movie!
Come on Odeon bosses - give your York venue a chance to shine again in 2006.
