FREE CV clinics and typing classes are being offered by a family-run college in York
Premiere Business Training and Design Ltd, on the York Business Park, at Nether Poppleton, is offering free lessons every Friday, from 2pm to 4pm, for help to create and lay out CVs; and every Saturday, from 9 am until 10am, for typing lessons.
Premier was established in 1921 and was taken over by Mary Rothery in 1963. Now it is run by her daughter, Elizabeth Lobley, and her husband, Neil, offering IT, English and maths, business courses and typing. It is a LearnDirect Centre.
Elizabeth said: "We are offering this to increase York's productivity when it comes to using computers - a campaign to improve typing skills.
"It is just as important nowadays to know your way around a keyboard, for speed and efficiency when producing documents, as it ever was."
