I AM writing in response to the article about Dringhouses cemetery (November 8).
The cremation plot the council is complaining about is the tidiest part of the cemetery. The rest is disgusting. My family are buried on the back row where the railway line used to be.
There was a gravel path at the back of the grave which is now grown over with slippy mess and the tree on the opposite side of the slippy path has grown right over the grave. So in the summer when all the leaves are on it I have a job putting flowers on the grave and in the autumn I cannot get to it for leaves.
I am aware the council has tree surgeons, so why have the branches not been cut back?
I would like to see the cemetery back to the nice tidy place it was a few years ago.
