After producing their best performance of the season last week, Pocklington followed up with their worst display when they lost 38-8 at Dinnington in Yorkshire Two.
Pock actually drew first blood when fly-half Henry Mitchell kicked an early penalty.
But the writing was on the wall as Dinnington's dangerous backs broke through twice in quick succession to score, and any hopes of Pocklington getting back into contention were dashed when teenage back-row Matt Davies had a try disallowed because the referee was unsighted.
To add insult to injury, Dinnington immediately broke to the other end to score a third try, and they pulled clear to 24-3 at the break.
Pock's one bright moment of the day came early in the second period. Their forwards drove 40 yards from a lineout, then released the backs for centre Harry Allen to cross wide out.
But Dinnington soon took advantage of some sloppy defence to break through again, and Pocklington's disappointing day saw them ship further points in the last quarter as Dinnington ran out convincing winners.
