York Groves had an unblemished defensive line in their 20-0 Pennine League division five win over Woodhouse Warriors.
John Rushworth opened the scoring after a strong drive from Chris Nuttal. Chris Smith scored the next try when he powered through the defence.

Secretary Ken Sykes received a phone call saying the Panthers could not field a team just as he was pulling into the Castleford car park with the first team.
