A pedestrian was in collision with a bus in York city centre.
The victim was a woman in her 50s who was taken to York Hospital with a suspected broken leg after the crash on the corner of Coppergate and Clifford Street at about 5.45pm.
Sgt Dave Hopper, from North Yorkshire Police, described her injuries as, "serious, but not life-threatening".
The bus was in collision with the woman while it was turning from Coppergate into Clifford Street. No-one else was hurt.
Emergency crews, including paramedics, arrived at the scene after a passing police officer reported the smash.
Police closed Clifford Street for about an hour while they investigated at the scene. Traffic was diverted along New Street.
Sgt Hopper said the closure had not caused problems on the road. He added the crash was not being treated as suspicious.
Any witnesses are asked to phone North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060247.
