REMEMBER, remember the fifth of November? Hempland and Heworth Allotment Association will remember the fifth of November for a variety of reasons.
Firstly for all the hard work we put into organising and running a free community bonfire and barbecue. Secondly to thank the kind person who loaned us a generator to throw some light on the occasion. A good time seemed to be had by the many people who attended.
Last but not least we would like to thank the public-minded citizen who enjoyed our hospitality and then broke into our allotment shop on Saturday night and stole the loaned generator.
Why do we bother?
