EXITING from York in mysterious circumstances seems to be in vogue as Chris White, ex-managing director of Nestl Rowntree moves on - presumably into the gaming or air travel industry as he calls for York to have its own casino as well as an airport at Elvington.
No mention of the negative impact on our community by a casino encouraging York residents to spend and lose money they can ill afford to.
No mention of the environmental impact on a city already suffering poor air quality by low-flying jet-engined aircraft. Soundproof the houses in the flight path? Presumably you won't be living anywhere near it, Mr White.
The man moves on. He won't be missed.
