FOLLOWING the murder of the Bradford policewoman, the question arises: should the police be armed?
My answer is no. But until the laws are changed so a life sentence means life, nothing will change.
There should be no time off for pleading guilty. Change it now, don't save it for an election ploy. The real victims are the people who suffer these terrible crimes and their families. Their lives are changed forever. Governments tell us crimes are falling. Rubbish - statistics can be made to look any way they like, particularly with this Government.
After eight years in power nothing has changed.
